Support and positioning

Three different sizes of pads, more or less contoured, with or without side wings, adapt to the needs of children and adults. The positioning systems are more articulated and respond to particularly complex postural adjustments and corrections. They include occipital supports, suboccipital supports, lateral pads and they can integrate alternative controls for the electronic wheelchair management. It is a latest generation therapeutic tool that works on the active control of the head, acting through the support of the neck. It conceptually recalls the anchoring device used by formula one drivers.

Application

Postural head supports are indicated for patients who are not able to support the weight of the head over time and for patients with hypertone and extensor spasms associated with poor head control (lateral displacements and falls of the head with normal headrest; constant repositioning is required). The GNO headrest provides lateral and posterior support so that the patient is invited to a median position during neck extensor spasm. 

Adjustable hardware

A key role is played by the fitting hardware, thanks to which we can find the right fit on the patient.
